It's nice when a fan film comes out of nowhere and surprises you. It's even nicer when the concept equally surprises you. And needless to say, when you get "Lust for Life" on the soundtrack...
I've been watching for over three minutes before I actually notice things have gone on that long. And I'm not sure that "What are you, a goat?", or the situation leading up to it, makes any sense, but I certainly laughed.
Hey, Jane's Addiction.
Hey, Yakety Sax.
No, I haven't commented on anything between the two spurts of music. That's because, largely, nothing happens. Things do pick up a bit when we see props and costumes getting made. But, largely, this movie is episodic in nature, and a bit will either make you laugh, or not. I'm just thrilled to see a film actually make a tin foil costume work, as this did not work for me in my younger days.
Oh, good God, the theme on kazoos. Complete with harmony and percussion. This is true comedy gold.
And the foam peanuts. Genius.
Works for me.
