This film got a little buried under drama over its opening logo, but in the end, there wasn't much to bury.
Animation can be very special because it automatically makes everything look cute and endearing. Combine that with the cute voice from the Neo rat and a few of his cute expressions and you have a film that wins quite a few points all too easily.
But the flick has some of its own merits. I loved the Matrix-style cinematography, from the green-toned world to the sweeping camera movements. The spoof of the burly brawl was clever The ending shot looks great.
My main beef is that the rat character appears to have no weight to him. He moves far too smoothly and slowly. He is also curiously simple in a word of well-made objects.
And man, someone needs to learn how to spell Wachowski, and figure out how to pronounce "matrix".
This is little more than a computer animation demo reel, but it's amusing.
