A LOST HOPE

This is an incredibly original idea, and you get that within the first few seconds. It's not just about Star Wars, it's about itself. The film is its own making-of.

The comment about Brian and lousy acting works for a smile, and I like the use of a Star Trek poster on Campion's wall.

Finally the content of the movie starts, a good five minutes in, when the documentary footage has gotten a bit tiresome. Why is everything so quiet all of a sudden? It also takes a bit long to inject an actual joke in the Jundland Wastes scene.

But you gotta love how Lucas convinces Alec Guinness to work nicely with Mark Hamill.

(Is it just my eyes playing tricks on me, or was a freakin' office chair CGed into a scene?)

The film finally picks up speed, perhaps too late, as Guinness' antics come more frequently.

The best line comes just before the credits. The second-best line comes just after the credits.

That is all.
